Seats and Benches

The Council is responsible for most of the benches and seats in and around Penrith. Should members of the public notice any damage, vandalism, graffiti to the seats and benches then please report such defects to the Council.

The Council has an approved Memorial Seat Policy which enables members of the public to donate a new bench in the Parish. The Council have agreed to replace the benches over a period of time, so that the benches in the Parish have a consistent appearance.

The fees for 01 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 for the the donation of seats is:

New bench with plaque including 10 years maintenance £1,000

Plaque fixed to existing new style bench including 10 years maintenance £200

Renewal of seat/plaque including 10 years maintenance for a further 10 years £200
